British comedy based on the true story of a man trying to set up an American football team in his home town of Crewe in 1985. After reading about similar start-ups, Derek Simmons (Michael Dixon) throws all of his time and money into creating his own team, much to the dismay of his wife Kym (Rebecca Pitkin). After funding the creation of the Crewe Railroaders, Derek runs into trouble with a local loan shark and finds himself gambling everything on the success of his new team.
