Anthony C. Ferrante directs this horror based on the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Updating the setting of the tale to the modern day, the film finds Gretel (Stephanie Greco) working in a bakery called 'The Gingerbread House' run by Lilith (Dee Wallace), an apparently unthreatening old woman. Gretel's brother Hansel (Brent Lydic) is less gainfully employed, preferring to spend his time playing computer games and otherwise shirking responsibility. When Hansel is captured in the woods by a cannibalistic family and taken to a remote house, Gretel sets out to try and save him. Along the way she will encounter great danger and perhaps have cause to rethink her opinion of Lilith.
