Stephen Tompkinson stars in this British action drama about one man's determination to save a northern England estate that has become rife with crime. Set against the backdrop of the miners' strike and power cuts of winter 1974 which resulted in a three-day week, the film follows the efforts of Detective Sergeant Barry Harrigan (Tompkinson) as he attempts to regain control of a community that in such desperate times has resorted to desperate measures.
