British Comedy Award Winner for the Best New Comedy Show featuring stand-up from The Debonnaire Dachshund himself as he performs live on London's Premier West End Stage at the end of his sell-out 1998 tour.
Many may see Harry Hill as someone who tells simple jokes and has too many odd moments to be truly funny. But this is not what makes Harry so talented.
I saw his live show in Oxford two years ago and, to be honest, I wasn't expecting to find him so funny! His incredible ability to interweave 7 or 8 different stories together, while making sure you've got enough info to keep up with him, is very impressive. The result is an evening's entertainment I still find myself laughing at today.
His quirks and catchphrases only add to the humor and can only really be funny when taken with everything else. On their own his jokes a juvenile and generally unfunny; if you watch the whole show it all comes together.
Despite all this, the DVD doesn't quite capture the feel of the show or seem quite as funny. But when did a video ever seem as good as the real thing?! Worth a watch all the same, when you get to the end you'll understand what makes him so hilarious.

Self-styled supervarmint Harry Hill is back with another live video - what were the chances of that happening, eh? Harry offers his bizarre observations on life, ably assisted by his backing band, the Caterers, his chief scientist, Finsbury Park, failed chicken-catcher Burt Kwouk, Stouffer the Cat and, of course, the badgers.
