Xavier Dolan writes, directs and stars in this drama chronicling a love triangle between three 20-something metrosexual friends in Montreal: Marie (Monia Chokri), Frankie (Xavier Dolan) and Nicolas (Niels Schneider). After meeting confident, free-spirited traveller Nicolas (Niels Schneider) at a party, Marie and her best friend Frankie quickly become infatuated with him. Before long, the three end up in bed together, but Nicolas, whose primary desire is securing a place to stay, provides neither Marie nor Frankie with the deep connection they were hankering after.
