Miles Kendig is a veteran CIA agent who finds himself reduced to a desk job after the arrival of new boss Myerson. He exposes espionage secrets as revenge for his demotion to a desk job and the powers that be decide he must be stopped.
A fired CIA agent decides to get even with the organization by publishing a book which outlines years of dirty secrets. As a result of his actions, both the CIA and the KGB decide to do their best to prevent him from furthering his literary career.
