As it turns out the speck of dust is home to the Whos who live in their city of Whoville. Horton agrees to help protect the Whos and their home but this gives him nothing but torment from his neighbors who refuse to believe that anything could survive... on the speck. Still Horton stands by the motto that After all a person is a person no matter how small. Alvin And The Chipmunks: Based on the classic cartoon series Alvin Simon and Theodore come to the big screen with their mischievous musical mayhem. When struggling songwriter Dave Seville (Jason Lee) opens his home to a talented trio of chipmunks named Alvin Simon and Theodore they become overnight music sensations. But a greedy record producer (David Cross) intends to exploit the 'boys' and send them on a grueling concert tour just to line his own pockets. Now Dave must use a little human ingenuity-and a lot of munk mischief-to get his family back before it's too late! Garfield 2: A Tail Of Two Kitties: Garfield America's favourite cat is going continental. He's travelling across the pond (with canine sidekick Odie) to surprise his master Jon Arbuckle (Meyer) who is in London to propose to his girlfriend veterinarian Liz Wilson (Hewitt). He inadvertently switches places with the Prince a royal cat (and by luck his exact look-a-like) who has just inherited Castle Carlyle from his deceased owner Lady Eleanor this is a huge disappointment to her dastardly nephew Lord Dargis (Billy Connelly). Now living it up as the Cat of Carlyle Garfield has a butler and an international array of servants and subjects including Winston a very English bulldog; McBunny a Scottish hare; Nigel a Punjab ferret; Bolere a Spanish bull; I Claudius a Shakepeare-quoting mouse and Christophe a French goose. Meanwhile Prince is living the simple life of a commoner hitting the pubs with Jon and Oldie getting his first taste of lasagne...and loving all of it! Uneasy is the head however that wears the crown. Lord Bargis who is next in line to the estate wants Prince/Garfield out of the picture. Garfield's bigger better more pur-fect world is soon turned upside down in the tale of two kitties! [show more]

Triple bill of family features. 'Horton Hears a Who!' (2008) is a big budget, CGI-animated update of the classic Dr Seuss parable. Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Carol Burnett and Seth Rogen are among the actors providing the voice talent. A jungle elephant named Horton (Carrey) discovers a race of tiny beings living in a solitary dandelion. Recognising the dangers they face, the friendly pachyderm resolves to keep his microscopic pals safe. However, as Horton is the only one who hears the inhabitants of 'Whoville', his other animal pals are convinced he's gone crazy and resolve to do something about it. Horton and his miniscule friends must struggle against these impossible odds to prevent disaster. 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' (2007) is a live action, big screen outing for everyone's favourite Chipmunks - Alvin, Simon and Theodore. Discovered and adopted by struggling songwriter Dave Seville (Jason Lee), the dynamic trio decide to join forces and embark on a singing career, performing Dave's songs. When success beckons, however, unscrupulous record company boss Ian Hawke (David Cross) decides that he could make a lot more money from the boys if Dave was out of the picture. 'Garfield 2' (2006) is a comedy sequel in which the laziest cat in America swaps places with the richest feline in England. Jon Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer) is on his way to London to propose to his veterinarian girlfriend, Liz Wilson (Jennifer Love Hewitt), and his unflappable cat, Garfield (voice of Bill Murray), is determined to be there when Jon pops the big question. Of course, Garfield wouldn't go anywhere without his old pal Odie, and soon after arriving in the land of Big Ben, the clueless tomcat inadvertently changes places with royal look-alike Prince. It seems that Prince's owner, Lady Eleanor, has recently passed away, leaving the care of her sprawling estate, Castle Carlyle, in the capable paws of her devoted kitty companion. The trouble is, Prince has decided it's time for a vacation, and with Garfield in charge there's no telling what kind of trouble will befall the stately home.
