Advertising golden boy Andrew Quint (Oliver Reed) is fed up with his fabulously successful life and decides to quits his high-fl ying job in order to return to writing for a small, literary magazine. To completely leave his former life behind, he even goes as far as saying good-bye to both his wife and mistresses! But Andrew fi nds, however, that it's not so easy to escape his past... Orson Welles and Oliver Reed star in this British comedy directed by Michael Winner. The films follows disillusioned advertising executive Andrew Quint (Reed) as he quits his job to become a literary agent for a small magazine. Seeking a new life, Quint decides to say goodbye to his old one and severs ties with his wife (Wendy Craig) and job and even gives up his two mistresses. As he escapes to swinging '60s London, Andrew's old boss Jonathan Lute (Welles) isn't about to let him get away so easily and lures him back to make an award-winning new advert. Will it be a triumphant or disastrous return?
