In 1942 a young German soldier named Toni Kumpel was posted to the island of Guernsey. Here he wrote a note book that inspired a search for the true story of one of the lesser known chapters of WWII: The German Occupation of the Channel Islands. This documentary explores the story of Toni and the effect that the occupation had on the people of the Channel islands.
