Catherine Deneuve and Rabih Mroue star in this political docu-drama set against the backdrop of the aftermath of the 2006 Israel/Lebanon war. Deneuve plays a fictionalised version of herself, an iconic French actress who arrives in Beirut as the special guest of the French ambassador for a glamorous gala reception. When she insists on seeing for herself the devastation wrought by the recent conflict, Lebanese actor Mroue offers to become her guide, and together they drive through the rubble-strewn areas destroyed by the Israeli incursion into Southern Lebanon.
