Two-part historical documentary, presented by Jeremy Clarkson, which revisits stories of bravery from the Second World War. The first programme explores the tale of the 'The Victoria Cross', which Clarkson's father-in-law, Major Robert Henry Cain, was awarded after taking part in the audacious Operation Market Garden. The second instalment tells the story of 'The Greatest Raid of All', regarded by many as the 'original Mission Impossible'. Those involved in Operation Chariot were tasked with destroying a Nazi-occupied dock at Normandy, a mission which forced German warships to return home in need of repairs, and one which saw 89 soldiers receive military decorations for their services.
