Three-part ITV travel series following Joanna Lumley as she explores Japan. In her 2000-mile, cultural journey around the country's four main islands, the English actress tours the cities of Tokyo, Kyoto and Sapporo as well as the islands of Shikoku and Kyushu. On her travels, she meets a trainee geisha, takes a trip on the Shinkansen, learns about Japanese Buddhism, takes in some of the country's nightlife and visits the sites of the atomic bombings on Fukushima and Nagasaki.
