When New York trader Michael Cromwell (Tim Allen) decides to marry fashion designer Charlotte, he must first obtain a divorce from his wife Patricia. She has been living in the Amazon for the past 13 years, and when Michael travels over to finalise matters he is shocked to discover that he has a son, Mimi-Suki (Sam Huntington). Mimi-Suki is going through his rites of passage, and wants to return to New York with Michael so that he can claim the fire from the Statue of Liberty. Michael reluctantly agrees, but once in the urban jungle Mimi-Suki brings chaos to all those around him.
