Stories entwine after a gang of bank robbers escape into the woods, and the wife of a mobster flees with his money in order to start a new life with her lover. As these very different people find themselves facing off at an isolated cabin in the woods, they soon realise they are not so much facing off against each other as they are a monstrous creature unearthed by construction work.
