As America edged slowly towards civil war the need for a train line through the heart of the country became imperative in order to provide troops and supplies however not everyone was in favour of the new lifeline. Sterling Hayden stars as undercover army engineer Captain John Nelson sent to deal with Southern-sympathisers who are sabotaging the construction of the railway causing death and delay. Tasked with getting the project back on track Captain Nelson must deal with those intent on derailing the new supply route by any means and at any cost.

Western set in the lead up to the American Civil War, starring Sterling Hayden. As the war approaches, a much needed train line is being put in place from east to west in order to transport soldiers and supplies. However, the Southerners are against the railroad and are intent on disrupting its creation. Disguised as a civilian, Captain John Nelson (Hayden) is sent to deal with the rebels by any means necessary.
