After learning Pablo is in love with Juan (Miguel Molina), Antonio tracks Juan down and kills him in a jealous rage. When Pablo learns of Juan's sudden death he is distraught and crashes his car following a run-in with the police who want to question him over the crime. Waking up in hospital with amnesia, Pablo is nursed back to health by his transsexual sister Tina (Carmen Maura). However, when he discovers Antonio is posing as Tina's new lover in an attempt to get close to him, Pablo faces a race against time to get to him before Tina gets hurt.
