Barry Humphries plays Sir Leslie Patterson, the Australian Cultural Ambassador, who is sent to an oil rich Gulf state to make peace after a United Nation blunder. After escaping a firing squad, he uncovers a plot to hold the world to ransom with the threat of biological warfare. Meanwhile Dame Edna Everage is on a 'Peace for Possum's Mission' and she becomes embroiled in the whole affair. It's up to the two unlikely heroes to save the world.
