At the beginning of their career Level 42 was a jazz-funk fusion band. By the end of the eighties they were a pop - R'n'B band with a number of hit singles to their credit. Featuring Mark King on bass and vocals brothers Phil Gould on drums and Boon Gould on guitar - Level 42 recorded two concerts for Rockpalast on 29 October 1983 in Bochum and on the 13 October 1984 in Essen.
