Documentary charting the fate of legendary Cuban vocal group Los Zafiros. Fusing traditional Cuban music styles such as bolero with more modern American elements like doo-wop and R 'n' B, Los Zafiros were immensely popular in the 1960s. Unfortunately the success proved somewhat detrimental to the band, with a number of problems relating to alcoholism and other self-destructive tendencies leading to their demise in 1970. This documentary brings the two surviving members of the band back together in Havana where they recall, with the aid of archive footage, the glory days of Los Zafiros.
