Eddie Jones (Courtney B. Vance) is a professional hit man for the US government. He is the most efficient and enthusiastic eliminator they have ever hired. His female boss Middleman (Kathleen Turner) wants Eddie to have a life outside of the job. She sets him up on a blind date with a beautiful friend Lois (Regina King).
