Featuring an all star cast including performances from Rory Kinnear Christopher Eccleston Catherine McCormack and Michael Gambon

Rory Kinnear stars in this two-part ITV drama as Lord Lucan, the real-life Earl of Lucan who mysteriously disppeared following the murder of his children's nanny in 1974. After a failed attempt to get his wife Veronica (Catherine McCormack) committed in order to gain custody of his children, John Bingham (Kinnear), otherwise known as Lucky Lucan due to his gambling, plots her murder. However, in the darkness, Lucan mistakes Veronica for nanny Sandra Rivett (Leanne Best). Realising his error, he then attacks his wife but she manages to escape. Soon after, with the help of casino owner John Aspinall (Christopher Eccleston) and some of his club's members, Lucan disappears, never to be seen again. Years later his fate remains a mystery, though those involved have different theories about what happened to him.
