1970s Western starring Richard Boone and Leslie Caron. When Sister Mary (Caron)'s convoy is attacked by Apache Indians she is the lone survivor of the resulting massacre. While seeking to elude the Indians and a variety of outlaws on the same trail, she is fortunate to make the acquaintance of Madron (Boone), a world-weary gunslinger who agrees to escort her to Santa Fe. Along the way, despite Mary's religious beliefs and status as a nun, romance threatens to blossom between the pair.
