Made-for-TV horror in which the introduction of a new species of giant python to the Everglades leads to an epic battle between mutant pythons and gators. When animal activists Dr Nikki Riley (Debbie Gibson), Gia (Arden Cho) and Ben (Patrick Hancock) break into a house in order to set a rare breed of python free in the Florida wilds, their intentions are to advance the welfare of animals rather than to cause harm. However, in the Everglades the pythons mutate to a size so enormous they begin devastating the swamp's native alligator population. Park Ranger Terry O'Hara (Tiffany) authorises the extermination of the pythons, but her decision to pump the swamp gators full of steroids in a bid to counter the python threat backfires when two competing breeds of mutant predator result. Can anyone survive the ensuing carnage?
