In international waters, a Chinese military cruiser experiments with beam-forming tech. It creates powerful high frequency vibrations -- crewmembers wear protective headphones. Suddenly, a giant creature (one of the Megalodon offspring) attacks. As the ship is devoured, and the beam-forming, high frequency tech now sinking, the crew sends off a warning signal. A US ship is patrolling on her military cruiser about 50 miles out from San Diego where she finds the Chinese military ship's only survivor -- lead scientist, Dr. Jaing Lee.
