DCI John Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon) tackles another murder mystery in the picturesque Midsomer region. When the owner of Finchmere Airfield, Bernard King (Chris Nightingale), falls to his death from his own plane, Barnaby and Sgt. Charlie Nelson (Gwilym Lee) try to determine whether the death was the work of a notorious protest group or simply the past coming back to haunt them.
