Searching for help to solve the recent crucifixion of a satanist, Hereford police requests the assistance of exorcism expert Reverend Merrily Watkins (Maxwell Martin). Convinced that the victim was murdered, Merrily turns to the supernatural to find reasons for his death with the help of her fellow clergyman and mentor Huw Owen (Threlfall). Meanwhile, Merrily also tries to tend to a dying man haunted by an evil spirit and deal with her troublesome teenage daughter Jane (Sally Messham).
