All five episodes of the first series of the BBC drama series created by Jimmy McGovern and produced by Colin McKeown. Each episode tells a self-contained contemporary story in which the characters have reached a turning point in their lives and are trying to move on. In this series, a lonely widow comes to a decision to marry her holiday romance, a single woman is forced to sell her house to pay off her many debts, and a young boy has to come clean to his parents about his sexuality when they discover women's lingerie in his cupboard. The episodes are: 'The Rain Has Stopped', 'Bully', 'Drowning Not Waving', 'Dress to Impress' and 'The Butterfly Effect'.
