My Father My Lord DVD

| DVD

Anchored with his wife and son in the very orthodox Haredic community of Jerusalem Rabbi Abraham devotes his life to the study of Torah and Jewish Law. His son Menahem is of an age where he absorbs the world around him as a place of wonder. He does not resist but follows listlessly as his father leads him along the straight and narrow path that must be pursued by men of faith. But Abraham's guidance can count for only so much in the scheme of the universe. On a summer vacation to the Dead Sea his faith is put to the test.

Understated Israeli drama studying the family life of ultra-orthodox rabbi Abraham Eidelmann (Assi Dayan). Unreservedly devoted to his faith, Abraham spends his days praying, studying the Torah and preparing his sermons - leaving little time for his young wife Esther (Sharon Hacohen), who in turn devotes herself to the couple's son Menahem (Ilan Griff).

Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play.  A respected rabbi is forced to come to terms with the demands of his faith and the welfare of his own family.
