Poonam lives with her elderly and sick mother and devious brother Tirche in a village owned by Dr Anand who she falls in love with. Tirche marries her to another man as his fourth wife. Neglected she falls ill so that Dr Anand visits thus their relationship resurfaces. Hearing gossip about them Poonam sends him away. Her husband decides that she should return home but she misunderstanding her reasons will only return dread.....
