Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play. Australian canine comedy drama directed by Stuart McDonald, based on true events. Mischievous Maremma sheepdog Oddball causes havoc for the townsfolk, leading to him being confined to his owner Swampy (Shane Jacobson)'s chicken farm. The reduction in the penguin population on nearby Middle Island due to the attacks of foxes puts the island's sanctuary status at risk and raises concerns for the local population and Swampy's daughter, wildlife ranger Emily (Sarah Snook). When Oddball is revealed to have an extraordinary caring and protective nature towards the penguins, Swampy and his granddaughter Olivia (Coco Jack Gillies) think he might be the solution to the fox problem. It's just a matter of training him and getting him to the island without the local people finding out. There are many other dangers to Oddball and their plan too - Emily's boyfriend Bradley (Alan Tudyk) wants to transform the island into a whale-watching spot and a dog catcher (Frank Woodley) is on the lookout for pesky Oddball.
