New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre stars in a funny and charming drama about a Boston blue-collar worker who stages his play in the back of an Irish pub. Jack O'Toole is a carpenter working in Boston who finds himself emotionally devastated by the death of his uncle in a freak work accident. The funeral is emotional and Jack is inspired to write a play titled God Willing. He believes it will give his family a new start and help him to heal the rift with his father. The problem is that nobody is willing to produce the play. His friends won't take him seriously,... his wife worries about the money and his father just wants Jack to stick to the day job. But Jack decides to quit his job and produce it himself. The only stage he can afford is in the back room of his local Irish pub. Into this modest environment Jack manages to assemble a rough-and-tumble theatrical company. But the problems continue to mount and a lead actor who keeps forgetting his lines doesn't help! The appealing cast includes comedy superstars Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation) and Will Arnett (Arrested Development), who plays a star struck funeral director put in charge of actors' makeup.
