Actor and filmmaker Mathieu Amalric directs this French comedy drama following an American burlesque troupe as they tour across France. Amalric stars as discredited television producer Joachim, who, following an unsuccessful stab at forging a new life and career for himself in America, returns to France with a troupe of ageing American burlesque dancers in tow. As the entertainers set out across the country with their bawdy, spirited show, a dispirited Joachim tries to put the broken shards of his old life back together, rekindling relationships with old acquaintances and his estranged sons (Simon and Joseph Roth) - with mixed results.
