When their father - absent from the family home for the last 15 years - dies, they travel to the countryside for his funeral, and meet their shy teenage half-sister. Bonding quickly with the orphaned Suzu, they invite her to live with them. Suzu eagerly agrees, and a new life of joyful discovery begins for the four siblings...

Japanese drama following the family life of three sisters who live together in the quiet coastal town of Kamakura. Sisters Sachi (Haruka Ayase), Yoshino (Masami Nagasawa) and Chika (Kaho) have lived together in their late grandmother's house since their father abandoned them to elope with another woman. When the three sisters receive word of his death they reluctantly travel to attend his funeral. There, they meet their 13-year-old half-sister Suzu (Suzu Hirose) and quickly invite her to move in with them in Kamakura. But their idyllic peace is shattered when the sisters' mother, Miyako (Shinobu Ohtake), returns, having been absent for the past 15 years.
