Documentary about the Palio, a traditional medieval horse race, which is held in the city of Siena in Italy twice a year. The film follows Gigi Bruschelli and Giovanni Atzeni, two of the competing jockeys and former training partners, as they prepare for the race. Retired jockeys Silvano Vigni and Andrea de Gortes also provide background on the traditional elements of the race and how it has changed over the years.
