Biographical drama about the life and career of Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, who is here protrayed by Galina Belyayeva. Born in Saint Petersburg in 1881, she trained at the Imperial Ballet School as a child and went onto achieve success with the Imperial Russian Ballet and the Ballets Russes of Sergei Diaghilev (Vsevolod Larionov) as a principal dancer. With the help of her friend, Mikhail Fokine (Sergey Shakurov), and her husband and manager, Victor D'Andre (James Fox), she reached even greater heights, developing new dance techniques and becoming renowned worldwide.
