Rajkumar Santoshi directs this Bollywood comedy starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz. Vishwas (Kapoor)'s mother hopes that her son will become a police inspector, while he has dreams of being a film star. It just so happens that the day he meets social worker Kajal (D'Cruz) he is dressed as an inspector for a photo shoot and she mistakenly believes him to be on the police force. He keeps up the facade, fooling his mother as well, but complications soon arise.
