Paul L. Stein directs this drama starring Flora Robson, Reginald Tate and Ann Todd. A rural community is rocked to the core when the residents begin to receive anonymous letters containing malicious and scandalous accusations. As Reverend Rider (Tate) and his sister Mary (Robson) attempt to diffuse the rising tension amongst the villagers, the letters continue to arrive bearing the local postmark, with suspicions mounting over who is behind the twisted campaign.
