Andrew Van Slee co-writes and directs this children's feature following the adventures of a singing dog. After moving to Fort Langley 12-year-old Austin (Tyler Cook) struggles to adjust to his new home. To help his son cope while he returns to serve in Afghanistan, his dad Andrew (Brody Hutzler) buys Austin a dog named Dino (voice of Andrew Van Slee). When he discovers his talented pet can sing, Austin, with the help of his sister Vanessa (Vanessa Soto) and new friend Greg (Darian Bertrand), enters Dino into the popular talent show 'America's Next Pop Icon'. Dino proves to be a hit with the public and as his popularity soars so too does Austin's, bringing with it unwanted consequences...
