Christmas takes a turn for the grim when a team of Finnish archaeologists unearth a man who appears to be Old St. Nick, only to find that the legends of a jolly, gentle cherub couldn't be further from the truth.
Jalmari Helander directs this quirky Finnish drama offering a dark and twisted alternative to the usual Christmas fare. Based on a series of internet-released shorts by Helander, the film tells the story of a young boy who discovers that a mysterious archaeological dig deep in the Korvatunturi mountains is somehow related to the sinister dealings of Santa Claus - who turns out to be a far cry from the jolly, cuddly figure we know and love.
