Both original and incredibly romantic Redwoods tells the story of an already-partnered man whose love is tested when a mysterious drifter passes through his small Northern California town. Everett (Brendan Bradley) and Miles (Tad Coughenour) are in a comfortably platonic relationship which is held together by raising their son. While his family travels out of town introverted Everett finally has time to himself-that is until Chase (Matthew Montgomery) a striking writer pulls up in front of his house. Shot amidst ancient Redwoods David Lewis' (Rock Haven) film is a... stunning ode to the power of love. [show more]

David Lewis writes and directs this romantic drama. Long-time gay couple Everett (Brendan Bradley) and Miles (Tad Coughenour) share a comfortable but uneventful domesticity. The intensity of their relationship has diminished, and what holds them together now is a shared love for their son Billy (Caleb Dorfman), who has learning difficulties. When Miles takes Billy away on a trip, Everett meets struggling writer Chase (Matthew Montgomery). The chemistry between the two men is undeniable, and Everett finds himself suddenly reawakened to love, leading him to struggle with the conflicting forces of loyalty, family and desire.
Everett (Brendan Bradley) is in an unsatisfying relationship with Miles (Tad Coughenour); with their essentially platonic partnership held together by their young son. When his family go out of town, a shy Everett strikes up a friendship with struggling writer Chase (Matthew Montgomery).
