The Award winning musical about Bohemian life, love and AIDS in New York comes to the screen.
RENT RENT REEEEEENT!!!
Rent is probably one of the best musicals, if not the best, I have ever seen in my life. After doing Rent myself it helped me realise just how powerful and wonderful the musical is. La Vie Boheme is just one of the amazing feel good songs that gets you, the audience, right in the middle of the film/musical.
Rent isn't a well known show, causing it to come to an early end unfortunately. If more people had seen it, I can insure that it would be a worldwide phenomenon. All-in-all I think that RENT hasn't been given a fair chance to prove itself. BRING RENT BACK - that is all I can say. I am on Rent's side on this battle to bring it back. Also if it did come back it would help to raise awareness for people who suffer with Acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
This film is a great musicial which follows into the lives of many different characters and how they combat with life problems and their friendship. The songs are brilliant, 'season of love' which is in my opinion the best song in the film. I have laughed, cried and went through varies emotions by watching this film and it's comes highly recommended. You can't miss it
Excellent film, great to hear the music up there on the screen finally but I would not expect it to win over new fans who maybe disliked the theatre version or were not even aware of it (where have you been!). Worth seeing for Rosario Dawson's performance alone, she is brilliant. Only grumble is that some of the script is now spoken where in the musical it was sung and this can come across as being a bit wooden in this form.
