Roadracers tells the story of a driver who is kicked off of the U.S. racing circuit when he's involved in a racing death that was caused by his own carelessness. He goes to Europe where he dominates the race scene. When he is permitted to return to the States he gets in a racing show down with his biggest rival as they duel in the United States Grand Prix.
