The image has been fully colour corrected. While conforming, it was found that a ten second interior shot of the police car during the opening chase sequence had been cut from the DVD release. This has been re-instated for this restoration.The original 35mm magnetic audio elements were unfortunately in a very poor condition and unable to be used due to deterioration, so the existing mono soundtrack has been restored. Paul Clifton (Stanley Baker) assembles twenty five of Britain's most notorious criminals to rob the Glasgow mail train. However, things go badly wrong, and Inspector Langden (James Booth), the detective in charge of the case, manages to catch the entire gang - with the exception of Clifton.
