Triple bill of classic Edgar Allen Poe adaptations from the master of horror, Roger Corman. In 'The Fall of The House of Usher' (1960), Vincent Price stars as the last member of the Usher family, who inadvertently buries his cataleptic sister alive. She subsequently rises from the grave to wreak an awful revenge. In 'The Masque of The Red Death' (1964), sadistic Italian prince Prospero ( Price) dallies with devil worship as the plague rages throughout Europe. To entertain his fellow Satanists, Prospero hosts a lavish ball in the confines of his castle, but the wanton revelries sour when an uninvited guest arrives - Death himself. In 'The Pit and The Pendulum' (1961), Nicholas Medina (Price) lives in a castle complete with a torture chamber built during the Spanish Inquisition. When his wife dies, he slowly goes mad, hearing her voice and becoming convinced that he has buried her alive. A twist in the tale leads to a horrific denouement in the torture chamber.
