Twelve-year old Henry Rowengartner fantasises about growing up into a baseball star, but is not even good enough to make it into the kids' league. However, when his arm is taken out of plaster after a break, he finds it has miraculously been bestowed with incredible strength. As a result he becomes a legendary pitcher, coached along to success by his baseball hero (Gary Busey).
