Originally intending on a career as a singer Roy Rogers would ultimately become one of the most famous of all singing cowboys the star of some one hundred films his own television show and countless marketing successes - it is claimed that Roy Rogers was second only to Walt Disney in the amount of items exploiting his name and likeness. Titles Comrpise: Sunset Serenade (1942): A plot to trick a newly arrived Eastern girl out of a ranch that belongs to her infant ward is thwarted by Roy and Gabby. Sheriff Of Tombstone (1941): Mayor Luke Keeler sends for a gunslinger... to clean up the town in effect he is to be his means of taking over the town. When Brett and Gabby arrive in Tombstone Brett is mistaken for the gunslinger but just before he can expose the mayor the real gunslinger rides into town. My Pal Trigger (1946): One of Roy Rogers' own favourite among his many films My Pal Trigger sees Gabby Kendrick refuse permission for his horse Golden Sovereign to breed with Roy's horse. The horses escape and Golden Sovereign is shot by mistake with Roy getting the blame and ending up in jail.
