On their way to their wedding, Chief of Sugery Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks) and his surgeon fiancée Alex Reid (Erica Durance) are involved in a car crash and, although both doctors survive, Charlie is left incapacitated and comatose. Held in Toronto's Hope-Zion Hospital where they both work, Charlie is free to roam the halls in spirit form as Alex continues with her work while being ever hopeful of her husband-to-be's re-awakening.
