Lewis Gilbert directs this 1970s drama starring Michael York as a British prince who enjoys an unconventional love affair while visiting Japan. Though the young Prince George (York) pays lip service to the ambassadorial formalities of his visit to the Far East, internally he rebels against the strictures of his position. When he meets alluring Japanese tour guide Sumi (Hidemi Aoki), George's rebellious streak is unleashed and the couple embark on a wild, week-long adventure.
