In 2006 having toured the world over in support of their Takk... album Sigur Ros returned home to play a series of free unannounced concerts in Iceland. Heima is a unique record of that tour filmed in over 13 different locations across the island taking in the biggest and smallest shows of the band's career. I saw this DVD at Greenbelt Festival 2008 and was blown away. It gives a sensitive insight into the band and combines their music beautifully with the stunning backdrop of the places they performed & grew up in. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who enjoys fantastic music & jaw-droppingly beautiful scenery. I came away from the experience of watching this DVD freezing cold (It was August Bank Holiday & an open air screening) but with the joy & peace that comes from seeing people who love what they do & create beauty from anything and everything they encounter. Wow.
