This festive cartoon tells the story of Abib, the cheeky but loveable donkey who carries Mary, mother of Jesus, to Bethlehem in time to give birth. Following King Herod's order for all people to return to the place of their birth, all the best travelling animals are quickly taken, so Mary and her husband Joseph are left with the less than hard-working Abib. However, sensing that their situation is a special one, the donkey does his best to get the couple to Bethlehem, avoiding Herod's soldiers with the aid of his friends Jaffar the camel and Orion the horse.
